Hi,

Discover card recently informed me that the federal government requires that they determine my income and liquid assets before setting the limits of my credit card. I have been a member since 1987 according to the information on my credit card. I don't recall the credit limit that was assigned to me 30 years ago, but it is now $15,000. I think that they looked at my birth date and wondered what income does this old fart have. I never requested a credit limit from Discover; they gradually raised the limit to $15,000 over the last 30 years. I have always paid the monthly balance for the last 30 years. I have never charged $15,000 in a calendar year. My annual income is well above the median income of US citizens, and I have considerable liquid assets. Consequently, I am not concerned about the limit on my Discover card. If I want to buy an expensive item, my bank will gladly write a cashier's check for no fee. Has anyone been asked to login to their account and received a similar message?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
